A group claiming to speak for Anonymous said they're going to take down Facebook on November 5th of this year.

However, there are mixed reports coming forward about the legitimacy of this Anonymous hack.

Gawker has reported they have spoken to an Anonymous member who was part of the initial "Operation Facebook" and he told them this entire hack is all one big misunderstanding that they never intended to 'kill' Facebook.

John R. Horner: The Inspiration Behind Jurassic Park Movie

* First Video:

* Second Video:

John "Jack" R. Horner (born June 15, 1946) is an American paleontologist who discovered and named Maiasaura, providing the first clear evidence that some dinosaurs cared for their young. He is one of the best-known paleontologists in the United States. In addition to his many paleontological discoveries, Horner served as the technical advisor for all of the Jurassic Park films, and even served as partial inspiration for one of the lead characters, Dr. Alan Grant.

In Montana during the mid-1970s, Horner and his research partner Bob Makela discovered a colonial nesting site of a new dinosaur genus which they named Maiasaura, or "Good Mother Lizard". It contained the first dinosaur eggs in the Western hemisphere, the first dinosaur embryos, and settled questions of whether some dinosaurs were sociable, built nests and cared for their young. The discovery established his career. Horner has named several other species of dinosaur (including Orodromeus makelai in memory of his late friend Bob Makela) and has had two named after him: Achelousaurus horneri and Anasazisaurus horneri.

According to wikipedia, within the paleontological community, Horner is best known for his work on the cutting edge of dinosaur growth research. He has published numerous articles in collaboration with Berkeley paleontologist Kevin Padian, and French dinosaur histologist Armand Ricqlés, on the growth of dinosaurs using growth series. This usually involves leg bones in graduated sizes from different individuals ranging in age from embryos to adults. He also revitalized the contested theory that Tyrannosaurus rex was an obligate scavenger, rather than a predatory killer. This theory has been adopted by the popular press but has never been a major research focus for Dr. Horner. In 2000, Horner's crews discovered five specimens of T. rex and three more the following summer, including one even larger than the other specimen nicknamed "Sue". The specimen was 10–13 tons in weight and was 10% larger than other specimens. The Museum of the Rockies, as the result of continuing fieldwork, now boasts the largest Tyrannosaurus rex collection in the world. Currently, he is working on the developmental biology of dinosaurs.

World's Oldest Conjoined Twins: Ronnie & Donnie Galyon

Ronnie and Donnie Galyon were born at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, on October 28, 1951, to Wesley and Eileen Galyon. They were born as conjoined twins even though Eileen was not expecting twins at the time. They are joined from the sternum to the groin and share a set of organs, so they cannot be separated.

According to the 2009 Guinness Book of World Records, the Galyons are the oldest living set of conjoined twins in the world. They have never been to a “normal” school because it was feared that they would cause a distraction. With nine children to support, their father, Wesley, made the difficult decision to take the twins on the road as a sideshow attraction.

In accordance with wikipedia, the boys were exhibited in sideshows throughout their childhood in the US and later in Latin America. Their tours made them celebrities and brought them fame and - comparative - fortune, with which they were able to support the rest of their family. In 1991, after three decades of work, the pair retired and moved into their first independent home.

Thousand-Hand Guan Yin

As long as you are kind and there is love in your heart
A thousand hands will naturally come to your aid
As long as you are kind and there is love in your heart
You will reach out with a thousand hands to help others

Guan Yin is the bodhisattva of compassion, revered by Buddhists as the Goddess of Mercy. Her name is short for Guan Shi Yin. Guan means to observe, watch, or monitor; Shi means the world; Yin means sounds, specifically sounds of those who suffer. Thus, Guan Yin is a compassionate being who watches for, and responds to, the people in the world who cry out for help.

Self-Injury: An Addiction..

First video:

Second video:

True stories about poeple who harm themselves in masochist way.

Self-Injury (SI) is the act of physically hurting yourself on purpose without the intent of commiting suicide. It is a method of coping during an emotionally difficult time that helps some people temporarily feel better because they have a way to physically express and release the tension and the pain they hold inside. In other people hurting themselves produces chemical changes in their bodies that make them feel happier and more relaxed.

Five key components identify and define SI.

* One, SI is a harmful act done to yourself. Do not mistake lashing out in anger at others as SI.
* Two, SI is only done by yourself. If anyone else does something to you that causes pain this is not SI.
* Three, an act of SI must include some sort of physical violence. Emotionally punishing yourself (calling yourself a bitch or thinking you're stupid, ugly, etc.) is not SI.
* Four, an act of SI is not done with the intention of killing yourself. People who slit their wrists to kill themselves, even though they have harmed their body, are not SI-ing.
* Last, SI is done intentionally. Not accidentally, but with the intent purpose of hurting yourself.
