'Operation Facebook' Hack or Hoax?

A group claiming to speak for Anonymous said they're going to take down Facebook on November 5th of this year.


However, there are mixed reports coming forward about the legitimacy of this Anonymous hack.


Gawker has reported they have spoken to an Anonymous member who was part of the initial "Operation Facebook" and he told them this entire hack is all one big misunderstanding that they never intended to 'kill' Facebook.
